Fujitsu will feature multiple retail technology demonstrations at NRF in the company’s new exhibit booth, designed like mini “retail environments.” Here’s a highlight of what’s in store:

Pervasive Retailing Framework Announcement

Fujitsu will announce its Pervasive Retailing Framework (PRF) – with support and comments by executives from Microsoft, Intel and Kurt Salmon Associates – in a press release to be distributed on Monday, Jan. 16. Fujitsu’s PRF enables retailers to minimize the time, cost and risk of creating real-time interoperability between disparate applications and devices that support a multitude of retailing interactions. Fujitsu’s Pervasive Retailing Framework leverages prior investments in legacy systems, while enabling retailers to take advantage of new opportunities to enrich the shopping experience and improve their retail operations. This significantly reduces their time-to-market for generating new business across multiple sales channels and increases the return on their overall technology investment.

Pervasive Retailing Solutions to be demonstrated at the booth:

GlobalSTORE

Fujitsu’s GlobalSTORE application, around which the PRF was developed, is a full-featured, customizable store system, cash management and back office platform. GlobalSTORE is deployed at 139 customers in 19 countries, including Nordstrom, Payless ShoeSource, OfficeMax and Danier Leather.

CustomerCENTER

A suite of customer marketing and management solutions, CustomerCENTER empowers retailers to dramatically increase sales and improve customer service through comprehensive knowledge of their customers. It consists of four modules that can be used separately or linked together for a more comprehensive package:

  • Loyalty Manager
  • Relationship Manager
  • Analytics Manager (Business Intelligence)
  • Campaign Manager

Reflexis Workforce Management

The Reflexis Workforce Management solutions, working with Fujitsu’s CustomerCENTER, enable retailers to run successful promotions/campaigns in their stores. The connectivity of these applications ensure that the store is ready to execute a promotion created through CustomerCENTER by triggering specific tasks to be executed at the store level, prior to the start of the promotion.

TeamPoS 3000

Fujitsu will introduce and demo its new TeamPoS 3000 point-of-service terminals and Omni Touchpoint™ kiosks. The family expands upon the benefits of its predecessors (the TeamPoS 2000 series) with improved reliability, enhanced serviceability, support for the latest peripheral technology and new kiosk models.

VOIP Technology Demo with Vertical Communications

Fujitsu and Vertical Communications will demo the retail industry’s first integrated “soft” telephony solution. The system will run on Fujitsu’s TeamPoS family and iPAD handheld units at Fujitsu’s booth 1613 and Vertical Communications’ booth 2013.

RFID Technology Demo with ThingMagic

ThingMagic and Fujitsu will demo ThingMagic’s RFID offerings in Fujitsu’s booth. Fujitsu will resell and support these RFID systems as part of its total solution offering.

U-Scan Shopper – Automated Shopping Cart System

Fujitsu will demo its automated shopping cart system. The system was introduced in 2005 and features a cart-mounted, wireless tablet computer that empowers consumers with product and sales information as they shop.

U-Scan Self Checkout

Fujitsu’s latest U-Scan self-checkout offerings will be featured in Fujitsu’s booth, as well as the Microsoft Booth #500.
