Fujitsu Demonstrates Mission-Critical Networking Solutions at I3MP Conference and Technology Showcase
Miami, FL, May 15, 2006 — Fujitsu Network Communications Inc., a leading supplier of wireless, wireline and IT networking solutions, will be showcasing a full breadth of flexible product and service solutions to support vital Army enterprise communications, including converged optical transport solutions and the PalmSecure™ biometric palm vein authentication device during the upcoming Installation Information Infrastructure Modernization Program (I3MP) conference and technology showcase in Miami. Fujitsu will also be discussing mission-critical networking, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. For more information about the conference, please visit http://www.i3mpconference.com/.
Fujitsu offers the U.S. Army optical networking equipment and end-to-end services the military depends on to support mission-critical communications, including:
- Innovation for DWDM Networks, which features the advanced FLASHWAVE® 7500 Re configurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer (ROADM). This platform is widely deployed in today’s high-capacity telecom and cable networks to support multiservice applications, and is ideal for secure and reliable Army telecommunications.
- Innovation for SONET Networks, which features the field-proven FLASHWAVE 4000 Multiservice Provisioning Platforms (MSPPs). These MSPPs have successfully completed a comprehensive interoperability and performance assessment by the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC). This test of the products’ ability to provide protocol compliance, stability, scalability, management, and security to potential Department of Defense (DOD) network configurations ensures that they are ready for a DOD network environment.
- Innovation for Wavelength Services, which features the new FLASHWAVE 7420 managed wavelength platform. This flexible system can be used to dramatically increase bandwidth and offer new service solutions for mission-critical military applications, including high-speed Ethernet and Storage Area Networking (SAN).
- Innovation for Biometric Solutions, including the PalmSecure palm vein authentication device, which offers a highly secure and innovative alternative to other biometric devices. The integrated optical system in the PalmSecure vein authentication device generates an image of a palm vein pattern without physical contact, digitizes the image, and encrypts and stores the unique pattern as a registered template.
- Innovation for Services Solutions, which supports every phase of a network with robust end-to-end solutions, disaster recovery, business continuity and on-going support. Fujitsu Network Life Cycle Services simplify the deployment, upgrade, expansion, and migration of networks, as well as offer a seamless systems integration experience within multi-vendor and multi-technology networks.
Fujitsu Network Communications is among a select group of companies in the U.S. to receive Tier 3 Custom-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency, which requires dedication to reviewing and strengthening security measures throughout a company’s international supply chain. Fujitsu Network Communications is also one of only 103 companies in the U.S. to receive the prestigious Importer Self Assessment (ISA) certification, which was awarded for demonstrating effective internal controls over its CBP transactions and showing a commitment of resources to assume responsibility for monitoring its own compliance.
Fujitsu FLASHWAVE optical networking solutions, NETSMART® management platforms and Network Life Cycle Services are available through GSA Schedule 70, FTS2001, WITS2001, and GSA CONNECTIONS.
