Fujitsu Demonstrates "Innovation at Work" with ROADM and Wi-Fi Solutions at the 2006 National Show


Atlanta, GA, April 07, 2006 — Fujitsu Network Communications Inc., a leading supplier of wireless, wireline and IT networking solutions, will be showcasing a full breadth of flexible product and service solutions for MSOs, including converged optical transport solutions and new broadband wireless access applications during the upcoming 2006 National Show conference and exhibition (http://www.thenationalshow.com ) in Atlanta, Ga.

As an illustration of "Innovation at Work", Fujitsu will be offering complimentary Internet access to booth visitors while simultaneously demonstrating a new turnkey wireless service option for MSOs. The demonstration will feature a Wi-Fi mesh solution that can be used to offer commercial services to campus and enterprise environments, as well as a complete Operations Support System (OSS) for managing public Internet access networks.

Fujitsu Network Life Cycle Services are available to assist MSOs with end-to-end solutions that simplify the deployment, upgrade, expansion, and migration of wireless networks. Extensive experience in providing leading-edge solutions within multi-vendor and multi-technology networks allows Fujitsu to offer a seamless systems integration experience.

At the 2006 National Show, Fujitsu will be showcasing its complete portfolio of solutions that illustrate "Innovation at Work" for MSOs, including:

  • Innovation for Optical Networks, which feature the advanced FLASHWAVE® 7500 Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer (ROADM). This platform is widely deployed in high-capacity MSO networks to support Video on Demand (VOD) applications and scalable commercial service offerings.
  • Innovation for Broadband Wireless Access, which leverage Fujitsu global expertise in wireless infrastructure to provide turnkey WiMAX and Wi-Fi mesh solutions.
  • Innovation for Unifying Ethernet, which will describe differentiable metro Ethernet solutions that provide cost-effective access for all customers.
  • Innovation for Network Services, which will describe how Fujitsu Network Life Cycle Services can be used by carriers to support every phase of their network with robust end-to-end solutions, plus system integration, service, and support.
  • Innovation for Network Management, which will show how customers can quickly and easily turn-up voice, video, data and storage services from a single location with Fujitsu NETSMART® element management software.
