Fujitsu Network Communications Inc.
Fujitsu to Discuss Dry Martini and Pseudowire Technology on Telecommunications Magazine Panel at SUPERCOMM® 2005
Richardson, TX, May 25, 2005 — -
WHAT:
Doug Saylor, senior vice president of planning and development at Fujitsu, will take part in a panel discussion for Telecommunications Magazine about Dry Martini and Pseudowire technology at the SUPERCOMM® 2005 exhibition and conference. The “Dry Martini and Pseudowires: Every Access over Any Core” panel will discuss how carriers can use these emerging data technologies to support convergence of traditional and non-traditional data services. This topic, as well as other solutions that enable networking beyond convergence, will be discussed in the Fujitsu booth (No. 41015). For more information about SUPERCOMM 2005, visit http://www.supercomm2005.com.
This panel will feature a mix of service providers and equipment vendors who will discuss how carriers can use Dry Martini and Pseudowire Edge-to-Edge Emulation (PWE3) technology to emulate Ethernet, Frame Relay, Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) and Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) services over any data transport network. This capability is an improvement over previous standards such as Draft Martini where only networks based on Internet Protocol (IP) and MultiProtocol Label Switching (MPLS) were supported. This is big news for both Interexchange Carriers (IXCs) and Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers (ILECs) since PWE3 technology can drive new revenue opportunities. A networking event will immediately follow the panel discussion.
Other speakers will include key executives from AT&T, BellSouth, Hammerhead Systems, Infonetics Research and Verizon’s Network Services Group.
