Fujitsu to Present "WiMAX in the Cable Network" at SCTE Live Learning™ Event


Richardson, TX, February 14, 2005 — 

WHAT:

WiMAX is an exciting new wireless technology offering the promise of high speed wireless broadband connections for MSO commercial services, as a supplement to MSO high-speed cable modem services, and to provide portable multimedia downloads. Randy Eisenach, senior technical marketing manager for Multiple System Operators (MSO) accounts at Fujitsu, will present "WiMAX in the Cable Network" at the February 16th Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) Live Learning™ Internet-based seminar. Eisenach will discuss the status of WiMAX technology and standards, as well as specific applications of WiMAX in MSO networks. Of particular interest is how WiMAX is the leading technology option for providing MSO commercial services.

WHO:

Randy Eisenach is a senior technical marketing manager at Fujitsu Network Communications in Richardson, Texas, where he is responsible for MSO technologies, next generation MSO architectures, MSO solutions and product applications. Eisenach has over 20 years of optical transport and networking experience and has held a wide range of senior level positions in engineering development, systems engineering, product management, sales and technical marketing. He is the author of numerous white papers and frequently speaks at industry conferences. In 1989, he was awarded a patent for his design and development of communication products and networks. Prior to joining Fujitsu in 1995, he held progressively expanding roles at Nortel Networks and Alcatel. Eisenach has a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University.
