Fujitsu Introduces 17” Touch Panel to Standard Product Line

Sunnyvale, CA, April 24, 2007 —  Fujitsu Components America, Inc. today expanded its standard touch panel offering by introducing a 17-inch (diagonal) product. The off-the-shelf product simplifies and reduces product development time for OEMs and systems integrators in the growing retail kiosk market.

The 4-wire, 17-inch model is the largest in Fujitsu’s standard resistive touch panel line. It was designed based on customer input with performance specifications targeting retail and informational kiosks. Other applications include desktop touch monitors, Point of Sale, and industrial controls.

The new panel features 82% transmissivity and an anti-glare treatment to enhance viewability in high ambient light. A 3H hardcoat provides scratch-resistance from both finger and stylus input, while the 150mm FPC tail eases integration design.

In addition to the new 17-inch touch panel, other sizes in the standard, 4-wire line include 3.7, 3.8, 3.9, 5.7, 6.4, 8.4, 10.4, 12.1, and 15-inch models.

Available immediately from stock, the 17-inch, RoHS-compliant T010-1201-T200 has a suggested resale price of $96.00 each in 1,000-piece quantities. Delivery is stock to 10 weeks ARO.
