Fujitsu Demos its Newest Resistive Touch Panel Technologies at SID 2006
Sunnyvale, CA, May 25, 2006 — Fujitsu Components America, Inc. is highlighting its resistive touch panel technology with working demonstrations in booth #402 at the Society for Information Display, June 4 – 9, in San Francisco.
Prominent in the exhibit will be life-tested, conductive polymer touch panels and ruggedized, film-film touch panels. Booth visitors will be able to test the demo units using a stylus to observe real-time results that will output to a mobile, Fujitsu thermal printer featuring Bluetooth® technology.
Fujitsu will also display a full-range of its off-the-shelf, high-transparency touch panels for outdoor or high-ambient light applications. Fujitsu offers the widest variety of commercially available, standard high-transparency touch panels in 3.9, 6.4, 8.4, 10.4, 12.1 and 15-inch sizes.
To address another aspect of touch input, some panels in the exhibit will feature replaceable, self-wetting adhesive protective sheets. Visitors can test how easy it is to replace these new, residue-free, protective sheets without the need for any tools or cleaners.
Other Fujitsu touch panels -- such as high-temperature touch panels for automotive applications; plastic panels for mobile products, and circularly polarized panels for sunlight readability -- will also be included in the exhibit.
