Fujitsu Consulting to Open 400-person Call Center in San Jose, Costa Rica

Center will provide DSL Technology Support for U.S. Telecommunications Company


San Jose, Costa Rica, March 6, 2006 — Fujitsu Consulting today announced its plans to open new a call center facility in San Jose, Costa Rica. Located at the advanced Ultra Park facility, Fujitsu Consulting will ultimately hire 400 staff to provide DSL technical support to the Company’s U.S.-based clients. The company has already begun to hire staff and the site is expected to become fully operational by April, 2006.

To commemorate Fujitsu Consulting’s entry into the market, Costa Rica President Abel Pacheco will host Fujitsu Limited representatives at the Presidential Palace on March 6 to discuss the company’s new business venture in Costa Rica.

The meeting at the Presidential Palace will be followed by a 10:45 a.m. press conference at the offices of CINDE where dignitaries will be available to discuss these developments:

“Our partnership with Fujitsu Consulting brings important technology-oriented jobs to Costa Rica,” said Alberto Trejos, President of CINDE. “We welcome Fujitsu Consulting to San Jose.”

CINDE, the Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency, has been working with Fujitsu Consulting to facilitate a smooth entry into the Costa Rican market.

To identify the best candidates that will soon fill Fujitsu Consulting’s open positions, the Company has been participating in local career fairs, including The Ulatina Career Fair held February 15-18 in San Jose, which resulted in more than 700 resumes being submitted. Fujitsu Consulting also plans to exhibit in the Expo Empleo career fair on March 10.

To date 50 management-level employees have been hired to head the call center, with an additional 20 staff expected to be hired by April 3. Following this initial period, 25 employees will be hired and trained every two weeks, with hiring expected to be complete by September 2006, completing the full complement of call center support staff.
