Fujitsu Retail Suite Supports Global Retailers With Single, Secure, Easy-to-Integrate Solution

Award-Winning GlobalSTORE POS Application Adds New Functionality and Data Security Certification

Fujitsu announced the latest version of the Fujitsu Retail Suite, a unified solution for point of sale (POS), retail data management and reporting, the management of customers, returns, and gift cards. Fujitsu Retail Suite version 4.2 increases support for global retailers, making it the perfect solution for companies that want to run the same system for every country in which they operate. The new version also delivers an enhanced view of customers across all selling channels, promoting greater customer satisfaction. Version 4.2 now features expanded configuration capabilities for ease of use, workflow and branding. For improved security, version 4.2 of GlobalSTORE® software, the award-winning Fujitsu POS solution included in the Fujitsu Retail Suite, has achieved PA-DSS 1.2 certification from the PCI Security Standards Council, which will help retailers to ensure high levels of payment card data security across the global, multi-channel retail environment.

Fujitsu Retail Suite 4.2 includes five essential components that can be implemented as a single, unified solution, or as individual applications that can be easily integrated within a retailer's existing solutions:

  • GlobalSTORE software, the award-winning POS solution, with PA-DSS 1.2 certification, additional international enhancements, Flexible Spending Account support and full integration with all Fujitsu Retail Suite applications and their functionality
  • CustomerCENTER (327 KB)TM software, a CRM suite that includes loyalty, relationship, campaign and analytics management, with additional loyalty customer tracking and couponing options and the ability to access information via a mobile application.
  • ReturnCENTER (250 KB)TM software, a complete returns management solution including additional capabilities for returns with no receipt and those associated with restocking fees and expiration dates
  • ValueCENTERTM software, providing end-to-end management of stored value cards, such as gift cards with extensive reporting and card management capabilities
  • StoreCENTER (362 KB)TM software, delivering centralized data management, consolidation and reporting including additional centralized cash management functionality and expanded ARTS XML implementation

Version 4.2 of the Fujitsu Retail Suite, which adds support for Windows® 7 desktop and SQL 2008 R2, also includes Country Packs, a variety of services that simplify entry into countries beyond the U.S. Supported by a worldwide Fujitsu presence and extensive knowledge of retailing, Fujitsu Retail Suite 4.2 Country Packs make it easier to open new stores in new countries by providing language translations as well as country-specific currency, tax and measurement control and management.

Fujitsu Retail Suite 4.2 provides a single view of customer, stored value card, returns and inventory information across all channels whether it be in-store at the Point of Sale terminals and self-service kiosks or via the web or mobile device. The information is shared and the same wherever it is accessed.

A broadly configurable solution, Fujitsu Retail Suite 4.2 provides retailers with a rich set of tools for configuring the user interface, modifying receipt formats, and controlling operational aspects of the solution through hundreds of options. Payment Card Security
Fujitsu GlobalSTORE software, version 4.2, recently achieved PA-DSS 1.2 compliance to continue its certification from the PCI Security Standards Council. The council offers robust and comprehensive standards to enhance payment card data security and to help organizations ensure they handle cardholder information safely at every step. Requiring extensive testing, PCI DSS 1.2 provides a clear, actionable framework for implementing prevention of, detection of, and appropriate reaction to payment card data security incidents. PA DSS 1.2 compliance of GlobalSTORE 4.2 software within the Fujitsu Retail Suite means that retailers can implement a validated payment application across all channels of their global retailing environment.
