Fujitsu Demonstrates Pervasive Power at NRF 2008

Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. today announced that a suite of solutions from Fujitsu and its partners will come to life in demonstrations at the National Retail Federation (NRF) 97th Annual Convention & Expo, Jan. 14-15 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

“NRF is the biggest show in the retail industry and presents the best stage to showcase how the pervasive power of our retailing solutions enhance the shopping experience,” said Peter Wolf, vice president of marketing at Fujitsu Transaction Solutions. “Attendees can drop by our booth, participate in the live “Power or No Power” game, win prizes and experience innovative retail solutions in action across various retail zones.”

The "Power or No Power" game is an interactive game where contestants choose between 12 cases with (unknown) enclosed prizes. In this suspenseful game, the host interacts with the contestant to provide options of trading their case for a know prize. During the game, contestants and attendees also learn about “Pervasive Power.”

The Fujitsu booth is organized into “experience zones” that showcase the interoperability of the company’s Pervasive Retailing™ Framework (PRF) and other in-store technology in a range of retail environments.

Here are a few examples of what’s in store at Fujitsu’s booth:

  • All-Weather Outdoor Kiosk – See the new U-Serv Kiosk designed to withstand all the elements of outdoor use.
  • Line-Busting – Observe how Fujitsu's iPAD handheld device, integrated to GlobalSTORE POS, improves customer service and shortens checkout lines.
  • Contactless Interactions – With a Fujitsu key tag, experience how customers can use one contactless device as identification in loyalty programs and for payment (prepaid, credit, debit or ACH).
  • Integrated Customer Loyalty – See how customers get targeted promotions and discounts from loyalty programs (CustomerCENTER® integrated with GlobalSTORE and Fujitsu key tag).
