The Mission Critical IA Server "PRIMEQUEST" is a high-end data center system focused on the needs of the growing Enterprise. Based on technologies Fujitsu has long refined over generations of highly reliable mainframe and UNIX servers, it provides Supercomputer high-performance, excellent service availability and the openness of IA servers.
Use of 64 bit Dual-Core Intel® Itanium® Processor, global standard Linux and/or Microsoft® Windows operating systems, and highly advanced Fujitsu reliability, stability and manageability technologies, make PRIMEQUEST an epoch-making open platform.

The advanced technologies

PRIMEQUEST provides a "Dual Synchronous System Architecture”. This allows memory modules and crossbar interconnects to operate in duplex mode. The result is errors can be isolated without causing system halts. Under this unique architecture PRIMEQUEST enables the world's first "System Mirror“. This ensures high availability by hardware alone. The "Flexible I/O system" changes for ever the way resource flexibly and configuration optimization are managed. Plus, the in-built redundant server "Management Board(MMB)," delivers autonomous operation, reducing administration costs across the life of the system.
