- Fujitsu Awarded Revenue Commissioners’ ICT Services and Support Contract
The Revenue Commissioners, the Irish tax and customs authority, has awarded the contract for the delivery and support of certain ICT Services to Fujitsu with an initial contract value in excess of €3m. The contract, which is for a two-year period with the option of a one-year extension, was awarded following an open EU procurement process and is a strategic element in the delivery of Revenue’s ICT Strategy.

- Fear proves costly barrier to change in the IT department
Fujitsu Services today announced results from a European survey into over 700 CIO’s views of outsourcing the desktop management function of IT. The overriding outcome from the research is that fear is proving to be a barrier to change which is ultimately stopping business evolution across Europe. Over 59% of CIO’s interviewed said that they opposed outsourcing of desktop management due to the fear of losing control or because they felt they would lose IT staff (33% and 26% respectively).
