More than 40 years of impeccable service
Fujitsu Services has been present in Belgium and Luxembourg since 1965, initially under the name Friden. Following a number
of mergers and acquisitions, Friden became Singer Business Machines. In the early 1970s International Computers Limited (ICL)
was established.
In April 2002 ICL rebranded to Fujitsu Services and two years later the group merged its three European subsidiaries – Fujitsu
Services (ex-ICL), Fujitsu Consulting (ex-DMR) and Fujitsu Technology Solutions International (ex-Amdahl) – into one company
called Fujitsu Services. This merger enabled Fujitsu Services to offer a complete range of services in three major areas:
consultancy, IT solutions and managed services.
The areas of focus and expertise in Belgium and Luxembourg are:
- Business consulting for the financial services industry
- Application services (strong expertise in Java development, application integration & application migration)
- Document & content management solutions (comprehensive experience with EMC Documentum, OpenText & Alfresco)
- Desktop managed services
- Retail POS and self-checkout solutions.
In the last financial year, Fujitsu Services BELUX generated about 30 million euro revenue with a workforce of 236 people. Revenue was spread over the following industry sectors:
- Federal government & European Institutions (35%)
- Retail (21%)
- Financial Services (17%)
- Commercial (27%).
Some of our key clients in Belgium include Fortis Group, the European Commission, Staples, the Group Louis Delhaize, Toyota, Belgacom Mobile and KBC Bank & Insurance.
