PRIMERGY Disaster Tolerance
DuplexDataManager is software for PRIMERGY servers which permits operation of redundant disk storage subsystems with data mirroring over long distances. By combining these functions with cluster solutions and Fibre Channel technology, remote 'shadow' data centres can be created, ensuring permanent availability for the IT infrastructure even in the event of a disaster.
Disaster-tolerant configurations can be set up using economical, standard PRIMERGY technology. All possible single points of failure are eliminated and long distances can be covered. Only with the PRIMERGY DuplexDataManager and its two components - DuplexWrite and MultiPath - are the benefits offered by Fibre Channel in terms of distance and speed shown to best advantage.
