Quality of Service: Reliability

Reliability is the ability of an entity to perform its assigned task predictably and without fail at all times. Fujitsu's Quality of Service Management, as delivered through its Quality of Service Appliance, is designed for and conforms to the highest possible reliability standards.

In the world of service level management there are four areas that require a reliability strategy.

  1. The network and system operation
  2. New equipment introduction (for possible compromise of existing network and system integrity)
  3. The new equipment itself
  4. The service status and warranty commitments of new equipment suppliers.

The Fujitsu Quality of Service Appliance addresses these concerns as follows:

  1. It automatically monitors key metrics, predicts service requirements and raises alerts
  2. It is passive, only monitoring the environment around it. There is no need for communication beyond your firewall, thereby avoiding system threats or unforeseen actions
  3. All software conforms to Fujitsu's strict reliability standards and is already in use with thousands of companies world-wide. The hardware can also be configured for high levels of system redundancy (dual SCSI disks, dual CPUs, etc.)
  4. Fujitsu is one of the world's leading suppliers of customer-focused IT and communications solutions with quality and reliability standards second to none. Our worldwide corps of systems and service experts uniquely position us to deliver comprehensive solutions that open up infinite possibilities for our customers.
