MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., 30 August, 2010 — Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC), makers of Norton security software, today announced that Fujitsu will include Norton Internet Security on all of its consumer and business PCs worldwide. Fujitsu will offer full featured, complimentary 60 or 90-day subscriptions of Norton Internet Security in multiple languages.
Norton Internet Security, the industry’s fastest, lightest security suite, detects and eliminates online threats and prevents cybercriminals from stealing consumers’ identity and hard-earned cash, so they can surf, shop, and bank online safely. Norton Internet Security also features the industry leading reputation-based security technology, which helps ensure that users are protected from harmful downloads no matter how the file is delivered to their machine.
Fujitsu consumer and business PCs will ship worldwide with Norton Internet Security, excepting Japan where Norton AntiVirus will ship to business customers. EMEA and Japan customers will receive a 90-day subscription, while Fujitsu customers in Asia-Pacific and the Americas will receive a 60-day subscription.
“Fujitsu has been a valued Norton partner for many years, and we are delighted that they have once again chosen Norton’s superior products to protect their consumer and business customers from digital dangers,” said Janice Chaffin, group president, Consumer Business Unit, Symantec. “The world’s top OEMs consistently choose Norton for our market-leading products and the value we bring to their business.”
