Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific partners Sierra Wireless to deliver integrated 3G technology on LifeBook Q2010

LifeBook Q2010 with Sierra Wireless MC8755V PCI Express Mini Card module provides built-in connection to HSDPA networks for better 3G network access. With its ultra-slim profile of 19 millimetres and amazingly light weight of barely one kilogram, discerning and tech-savvy consumers can now look forward to true mobility.

Hong Kong, 3 Aug, 2006 — Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific and SmarTone-Vodafone today jointly announced the launch of the LifeBook Q2010 embedded with Hong Kong’s first HSDPA-enabled service, SmarTone-Vodafone Mobile Broadband (HSDPA: High-Speed Downlink Packet Access). LifeBook Q2010 embedded with the HSDPA-enabled mobile broadband service, ensures a new and better user experience in true mobile broadband connectivity. The cooperation also marks the significance of SmarTone-Vodafone being the first official service provider for Fujitsu on full and real mobile broadband coverage.

The Sierra Wireless MC8755V PCI Express Mini Card embedded module is fully integrated into the LifeBook Q2010, providing customers with the ability to wirelessly connect to their email, the Internet, or online applications with HSDPA network, anytime, anywhere. For use in areas where HSDPA is not available, the MC8755V embedded module is also compatible with UMTS networks and GPRS networks, enabling worldwide roaming for business travellers.
