Fujitsu's New DESKPOWER Series - Compact and Efficient


Singapore, 13 August 2004 — Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific today launched three new DESKPOWER desktop PCs for business and home users. With a smart blend of light grey and anthracite black, the DESKPOWER series has a compact design, saving on precious desk space. The range also includes built-in cooling mechanisms that help to ventilate the system while minimising noise and maintaining peak performance.

The new DESKPOWER series - the E600, C600 and P300 - offers a range of performance and budget combinations to cater for the full spectrum of business needs, from basic PCs often used for large-scale deployments, to premium machines for specialised computing applications. Using the latest Intel® Pentium® processors and chipsets, the DESKPOWER range will meet the high-speed processing and powerful performance needs of businesses for years to come.

The Fujitsu DESKPOWER series has been designed for tool-less access, allowing for easy maintenance and upgrades. Many PCs in the market require tools to open the chassis or to perform upgrades, however the new DESKPOWER series can be opened with the push of a button and new components can be upgraded easily without tools. In addition, USB and audio connections are located on the front of the tower to allow for hassle free plug and play of USB peripherals.

A host of security features and options are included with the DESKPOWER, such as an anti-theft lock slot to ensure hardware protection. Fujitsu's optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM), which allows for customised security such as file and email encryption using Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology, is also available with the DESKPOWER E600.

Fujitsu's DESKPOWER models are bundled with DeskView client management software, providing comprehensive information about hardware on the network, and allowing for greater remote management and control. DeskView also delivers automated system notifications to administrators, saving businesses time and money. The DESKPOWER E600, C600, P300 each come with a range of other applications, including Norman Virus Control and Personal Firewall software for anti-virus protection and Nero Express 6 for reading and creating CDs and DVDs.
