Fujitsu's Pocket LOOX 610 - A Powerful Assistant for Top Executives

With up to 156MB memory and wireless connectivity, the Pocket LOOX 610 is the most powerful personal assistant any senior executive can have in their pocket

Singapore, 12 November 2003 — The Pocket LOOX 610 offers ambitious senior executives a high performance personal digital assistant (PDA) with wireless capabilities and comprehensive connectivity.

Powered by the latest Intel® PXA255 processor with Intel® XScale™ Technology, the Pocket LOOX 610 offers seamless wireless connectivity with built-in wireless LAN and Bluetooth capability.

Raymond Foo, Associate Director, Marketing, Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific says the Pocket LOOX 610 has one of the highest memory capacities on the market today. "The 128MB SDRAM gives executives the extra space for more critical applications and important files. On top of the high RAM capacity, the Pocket LOOX 610 has ample non-volatile memory (NAND Flash) space of 28MB to ensure data retention through Fujitsu's user-friendly backup utility. This brings the total storage space available to an amazing 156MB."

"We have bundled the latest Windows Mobile™ 2003 software with the Pocket LOOX to offer executives a high performance PDA that provides secure wireless access. Improved internet browsing features make the Pocket LOOX a new gateway to online media entertainment."

"The capabilities of the Pocket LOOX 610 are able to be expanded with the SD/MMC & CF slots - allowing you to connect digital cameras, extra storage, your GPRS/GSM card, or even converting your PDA into a barcode scanner with a barcode scanner card," Mr Foo said.

The Pocket LOOX 610 comes with a removable battery that allows you to change your drained battery without losing data. Additionally, with the automatic and scheduled backup function of the bundled Fujitsu LX Backup application, users do not have to worry about frequently saving their work in the midst of important meetings and discussions.

On top of a host of useful applications from Microsoft, the Pocket LOOX also provides an array of Fujitsu applications that gives new meaning to PDA performance. They include LX-Launcher (lists shortcuts to applications), LX-Backup (an automatic backup function), System Information (gives information about your Pocket LOOX), Task Manager (lets you manage active applications) and Pocket Plugfree (a Bluetooth utility for wireless peer-to-peer communication).
