The Notebook You Can Scribble On …

Now with Increased Video RAM for Smoother Video Playback

Singapore, 01 November 2001 — Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific, pioneer of the touch screen notebook ups the ante with its new B series. The ultra-portable touch screen dynamo has been souped up with the latest Ultra Low Voltage Mobile Intel® Pentium® III 700MHz Processor-M with 512KB secondary cache, supporting SpeedStep® technology. The LifeBook B-2562 now also has double the video RAM, to ensure richer multimedia performance.

More Power
Known to road warriors as a small electronic foolscap pad, the LifeBook B-2562 packs a powerful 256MB SDRAM, 20GB hard disk and a high-resolution 10.4 inch XGA TFT LCD display endowed with touch screen capability. Fujitsu was the first, and is still one of the few PC manufacturers to launch a touch screen notebook with a 360-degree rotational feature.

More Connectivity
The LifeBook B-2562 includes many features designed for convenience and mobility. It includes a built-in 56kbps modem and LAN to connect easily to the Internet. For cable-free communications, the LifeBook B-2562 supports Bluetooth™ (PC Card option), a wireless technology that enables communications for up to 50 metres** without line-of-sight.

Enhanced User Experience
The touch screen LCD display has long been a major feature of the LifeBook B series. "Many executives find the touch screen very useful, especially with the 360-degree rotational function when doing presentations or discussions with a small team. The screen can be rotated to the left, right or 180-degrees. This allows everyone seated around to view the screen comfortably," said Ms Evelyn Ang, Product Marketing Manager.

Another considerate touch from Fujitsu is its snap-on port replicator. Shaped like a wedge, the port replicator tilts the notebook into a comfortable position for typing. Users can enjoy full peripheral support like an external monitor, printing services, scanning, a full-sized keyboard and mouse whilst working in the office. When it is time for meetings, users simply disengage the notebook with minimal fuss.

Security
A special security feature designed by Fujitsu protects your data stored in the LifeBook B-2562. An array of five buttons called the Security Panel present a number lock with more than 800,000 possible combinations. These buttons can also be programmed for hassle-free launch onto the Internet, email applications of other user-preferred applications.

Safer Battery Swaps
Fujitsu employs a battery bridging technology to insure against loss of data during battery swaps. The LifeBook B-2562 has a battery life of up to two and a half* on the first battery and over five hours* with the extended battery pack.
