Fujitsu Australia Limited
Auckland, 02 September 2009 — Fujitsu, a leading provider of business, information technology and communications solutions has been presented with a prestigious Microsoft Partner Award for the Microsoft Dynamics ERP Solution of the Year at the 2009 Microsoft New Zealand Partner Awards, held in Auckland.
Fujitsu New Zealand was honoured with this award for the implementation of a complex Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution at New Zealand’s second largest dairy producer, Open Country Dairy.
Open Country Dairy, a high growth business undergoing a programme of plant and infrastructure expansion, required a fully operational ERP system within a strict four month window. Incorporating the primary production vertical add-on, Microsoft Dynamics NAV had to function as the company's core business platform, managing the collection, processing and production of milk products from the farmer's gate to international customer markets.
Open Country IS Manager Maree Goldie said the award showcased the successful orchestration of complex functions demanded by dairying systems. “The fantastic thing with Dynamics NAV is the scope for learning along the way. We could try new things as the implementation unfolded and jump and change incredibly quickly.”
The implementation, architected and delivered by Fujitsu New Zealand’s Dynamics NAV practice, links a complex web of interfaces, third-party systems, information delivery channels, and reporting. The implementation has now been extended to five processing plants.
Judges of the awards said Fujitsu’s handiwork stood out for its sheer complexity, rapid delivery, leading edge functionality and outcomes against customer expectations. Close to 100 entries were submitted by more than 30 partners for this year’s awards.
Fujitsu New Zealand’s Linda Te Maipi was a finalist for Licensing Star of the Year Award.
