Fujitsu Australia announced today that it has been selected by Microsoft Corporation as program partner for Windows 2000 Datacenter. Microsoft is ensuring maximum customer and system support for its new product by selecting only those partners who have the organisational depth and large systems expertise to ensure successful customer implementations.

Fujitsu and Microsoft partner to deliver e-Business solutions on Windows 2000

Fujitsu and Microsoft in New Zealand have partnered in the launch of a Fujitsu Integration Centre for Windows 2000. The Centre combines networked hardware and software to facilitate the design, building and testing of solutions that deliver customers' e-services needs.

Fujitsu and DoC win 'Most Successful Project Implementation of the Year'

We are delighted that the 'Connect 2000' project been awarded the title of the Most Successful Project Implementation of the Year at the Computerworld Excellence Award Dinner on 22nd June. The award was the only one made to a "partnership". It was made specifically to Department of Conservation/Fujitsu, recognising the project as the most successful in the country against competition from all of the public and private sector.

Optus expands optical network

Cable & Wireless Optus announced a massive increase in the capacity of its state-of-the-art fibre optic network. Using DWDM (Dense Wavelength Divison Multiplex) technology, it will increase capacity 40 fold. The system will provide up to 40 wavelength channels at 10 Gbps with the ability to expand to 160 channels.

Fujitsu wins major outsourcing contract with Victoria's TAC

In an Australian first, a major commercial contract between the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Fujitsu Australia Limited has been signed digitally, utilising Gatekeeper-certified digital certificates. The digital certificate technology, supplied by eSign Australia, was used to sign a $20m contract which will see Fujitsu supply the TAC with a range of information technology services, including help desk and desktop services, network services, managed application services and disaster recovery services.

Whangarei District Council goes live on Windows 2000 and Citrix MetaFrame

Whangarei District Council (WDC) Council today announced that it has gone live on Microsoft(r) Windows(r) and Citrix MetaFrame. A team from WDC, Fujitsu and Microsoft successfully carried out the upgrade, making Whangarei District Council the first local government body to upgrade to Windows 2000 in New Zealand.
