Canberra, September 08, 2016 - In the latest addition to its collaborative portfolio, Fujitsu today announced that it is building and implementing an end-to-end grants management system based on the Fujitsu Grants Management solution* for the Australian Federal Government Department of Industry, Innovation and Science.

Comprised of a public portal powered by Microsoft Dynamics CRM, the Fujitsu Grants Manager will deliver a total management solution for the Department’s Business Grants Hub. The Department delivers a number of grants and services to businesses, some of which are on behalf of a number of other Federal Government Departments.

Fujitsu Grants Manager, currently applied in global private sector organisations, is being delivered via an agile methodology to secure workflow-based registration, application, assessment, award, payment and associated management processes. The benefit will be reduced time between a grant application and awarding, as well as a clearer management view of grant statuses, results and outcomes.

Department of Industry, Innovation and Science’s General Manager, Clive Rossiter said, “The Department is currently undertaking a programme of work to transform the way it connects with and supports businesses so that our services are easier to find and understand, quicker and easier to access, and more tailored to business needs. A key part of this is a digital end-to-end grants management solution that will enable us to streamline how we deliver grants, making it easier for our customers”.

Steve O’Connell, General Manager, Federal, Fujitsu said, “We view this engagement with the Department as a long-term strategic partnership. The Grants Manager is a market-leading and highly resilient accelerated solution that can be easily enhanced and configured to support the Department’s business requirements. We are committed to working collaboratively with the Department to deliver a highly robust grants management solution that can rapidly adapt to all future business changes”.

The Department is taking an Agile approach to system implementation, with the first release of functionality scheduled to go live in 2017.
