Sydney, November 12, 2014
Fujitsu today announced its implementation service for rapid database migration of SAP® Business Warehouse (SAP BW) to SAP HANA® has been qualified by SAP Australia. Following Fujitsu’s role in one of the first migrations to the SAP HANA platform in the Australia region, this qualification helps position Fujitsu Australia to assist organisations with the migration of their traditional SAP BW database to the advanced in-memory analytics provided by SAP HANA.

Fujitsu has been a pioneer in the migration of customers from traditional databases to SAP HANA, being responsible for one of the region’s first implementations of SAP HANA for Frucor Beverages Limited. The implementation of SAP HANA at Frucor enabled faster decision making based on faster processing of data, which was up to 10 times quicker than what was provided by the original data warehouse. Other benefits of the implementation were reduced IT workloads and a simplified architecture.

Fujitsu’s expertise with SAP HANA, infrastructures and services enable customers to more fully exploit the potential of the platform. Based on reliable Fujitsu infrastructure concepts optimised for in-memory technology, vast amounts of data (Big Data) can be analysed in real-time, safely and securely, either on premises or in the cloud for smarter business decisions based on greater business insight.

The rapid database migration of SAP BW to SAP HANA is a member of the family of SAP Rapid Deployment solutions, which are ready-to-use combinations of best-in-class software, pre-configured content and pre-defined services. As a provider of an SAP-qualified service for this offering, Fujitsu will rapidly help customers migrate from SAP BW to SAP HANA, with pre-determined time, cost and service scope.
